Quiet Offseason?

Can we really say the Cavs have had a quiet offseason so far? While there have been rumors of the Cavs signing David Wesly and trying out Jay Williams (yes former Duke Blue Devil and Chicago Bull Jay Williams) that has been about it. But can we not forget, we probably had one of the biggest signings in the offseason by getting out franchise player to agree to a 3 year extension wirh a player option for a 4th. On top of that, draft picks Shannon Brown, who was a huge steal at 25 is NBA ready and looks to be in the mix for the starting line up. Throw in Daniel Gibson who we picked up with the 42nd pick and is a lock to make the team. People lets not forget that Larry Hughes will be back in top form this season after missing most of last season with the broken finger. You add all those factors plus the fact this will be our second year under head coach Mike Brown, the Cavs have had a pretty good offseason. While I do think it is key to add a three point shooter seeing as we have plenty off slashers to break down the d but very inconsistent 3 point shooting. Only time will tell how this teeam will fare against the Heat to try and dethrone them. LeBron to be offensive catalyst for Team USA

Cleveland Cavalier and NBA Star LeBron James is being appointed as the offensive catalyst for Team USA. Coach K, who has been qouted numerous times saying how much he loves King James' game is giving LeBron the Keys to his Offense. While Coach K runs a traditional offense, which means he relys on the point guard to run the flow of the offense, will not change that. The point gaurd will control the tempo and call the plays, but LeBron will be the one called upon to make plays for his team. At 6'8" and 244 pounds, LeBron who can shoot, pass, dribble, drive rebound and hit the 3 is a match up nightmare for any other team in this tourny.

*Other Team USA News

Coach K in some reports, has also named Dwayne Wade the Captain of Team USA due to his performance in the Finals.

Dirk Nowitzki Thinks Team USA is team to Beat-
Dirk recently said in an interview with ESPN, that He thinks the depth of Team USA with players like LeBron and D-Wade, mixed in with role players makes them the odds on favorite and team to beat.
